DISCLAIMER: EVEN THOUGH THIS BOOK WAS SENT TO ME BY THE AUTHOR FOR REVIEW, MY OPINIONS AND THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK WAS NOT IN ANY WAY BIASED OR MANIPULATED.

For eighteen year old Gia Winters, having a movie star for a father, a former Playboy bunny as a mother, a Hollywood mansion, and a closet stocked with Chanel is simply another day in the life.

But with the Golden Globes just around the corner, danger levels rise higher than her stilettos as Gia learns that the biggest secrets might be the ones buried in her own home.

In a place where the hills have eyes, high school nemeses, bad hair days, raging parties, and stolen kisses, there can only be trouble for a girl who was just starting to consider herself lucky. Image result for add to goodreads

Gia, the main character in this book, was relatable and funny at first but as soon as you flip through about a hundred pages you’ll start to get annoyed. She was annoying in a way that she overreacts to every hot guy she sees. She acts too childish for an eighteen year old but I love the British accent she does when she’s anxious. The other characters felt really flat. I wasn’t able to connect much with Jack and he confused me a lot. And I would have liked more information about the characters like little backstories or flashbacks would have been nice.

I did not expect that this book was gonna have a bit of mystery. The cover looked like it was gonna tell you about a perfect life from a perfect girl with a dog but no.The plot was presented very well but the flow of the story was slow for me tho.

Writing this book in first person was genius. The witty and humorous inner thoughts of Gia entertained me. But his lust for hot guys was annoying at some points. But nevertheless, writing style was fabulous.

Considering that the writer is only 20 years old, this is such a decent read but there are minor flaws and it needs more pizzaz to keep the readers hooked. There’s always room for improvement but I am totally in love with the concept of the cover!
